Why I chose: Sigma 35mm f1.4 art

Quite frankly I'm kind of tired from reading about test charts and what not, this is why I'm going to write about "why I chose" for my equipment collection. I'm sure some of you out there feel the same too (or... Am I alone o.O). Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art

Let's talk about why I chose the Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art lens over the new Nikon 35mm f1.8G FX.

If you don't know me, I'm a big fan of the 1.8s because I don't use f1.4 much, or even at all so there's a cost saving benefit there, plus the difference is negligible after f2, so why did I choose the Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art?

"I've always wanted a 35mm"

Well I've always wanted a 35mm <-- Impulse want!! and the ONLY reason is because I got lucky. Someone was selling the Sigma for $600, practically brand new and still under local warranty. The Nikon's is already $600+ brand new so it's a no brainer.

If it wasn't for that reason, I would have eventually bought the Nikon 1.8 version, even though the Sigma is worlds apart in terms of IQ and build quality.

This is just a short post, but there will be a Nikon 35mm f1.4G vs this Sigma post coming soon, so stay tuned!
